You may connect effect pedals before or after Elevate. Where you connect it depends on the type of effect and desired result, but in general:

Before Elevate's Input: tuner, wah, compressor, boost, overdrive, distortion, wah
After Elevate's Line Output: EQ, octave/pitch, modulation/delay-based effects, cab, looper, volume
