Our policy
Quilter Laboratories, LLC and its employees do not accept or consider unsolicited ideas, suggestions, proposals, designs, drawings, prototypes, samples, specifications, or materials of any kind, including but not limited to new or improved products, circuits, speaker or cabinet designs, enclosures, firmware, software, processes, product or feature enhancements, product names, advertising campaigns, promotions, or marketing plans (collectively, "Submissions").
Please do not send any Submissions in any form to Quilter Laboratories, LLC or to any of its employees, officers, contractors, or representatives.
The sole purpose of this policy is to avoid potential misunderstandings or disputes in the event that our products, services, marketing, or development work appear similar to ideas submitted to us. Quilter Laboratories maintains an active internal research and development program, and our engineers are continuously working on designs that may resemble ideas received from outside the company.
If you submit anyway
If, despite this policy, you choose to send us a Submission, then regardless of what your communication states, you acknowledge and agree that:
No confidentiality. Your Submission and its contents will not be treated as confidential or proprietary, and no confidential or fiduciary relationship is created between you and Quilter Laboratories by your Submission.
No obligation to review. Quilter Laboratories is under no obligation to review, evaluate, acknowledge, respond to, or return your Submission.
No obligation of compensation. Quilter Laboratories is under no obligation to pay you or any third party any compensation of any kind in connection with your Submission or any use of it.
Unrestricted use. Quilter Laboratories and its designees may use, copy, modify, create derivative works from, publish, distribute, display, manufacture, sell, and otherwise exploit your Submission and its contents for any purpose, commercial or otherwise, worldwide, in perpetuity, without restriction and without compensation or attribution to you.
Independent development. Nothing in this policy limits Quilter Laboratories' right to develop, acquire, or market products, technologies, or materials independently developed or obtained, whether or not similar to your Submission.
Your representations. You represent and warrant that you own or otherwise control all rights in your Submission, that it does not infringe or misappropriate the intellectual property or other rights of any third party, and that its disclosure and use will not violate any obligation you owe to another party.
Disposal. Quilter Laboratories may delete, discard, or destroy any Submission at any time without notice, and is under no obligation to retain or return any materials.
Patent and intellectual property matters
If you believe you have intellectual property rights relevant to Quilter Laboratories' business and wish to discuss a license or other commercial arrangement, do not send technical details, drawings, or prototypes. Instead, contact us in writing with the patent number or published application number only, and we will direct your inquiry appropriately.
Submissions containing unpublished, confidential, or trade secret information are made at your own risk and are subject to this policy in full.
Artist and endorsement inquiries
This policy does not apply to artist roster or endorsement inquiries, which are handled separately. Those inquiries may be directed through the channels listed on our website.
Changes to this policy
Quilter Laboratories reserves the right to modify this policy at any time. The version posted on our website at the time of your Submission governs.
This policy is incorporated by reference into the Quilter Laboratories Terms of Service.
