In Windows, if you receive the error message "Exception: [json.exception.type.error.316] invalid UTF-8...", this may be solved as follows:

  1. In the Windows Search bar, type "control panel" (without the quotes) then Enter.
  2. Under Clock and Region, click "Change date, time, or number formats."
  3. Click the "Administrative" tab.
  4. Click "Change system locale..."
  5. Check the box "Use Unicode UTF-8 for worldwide language support" and click OK.
